Editorial: Potawatomi casino a welcome addition
"The recent grand opening of the $240 million expansion of the Potawatomi Bingo Casino is another reason the once-drab and semi-deserted industrial Menomonee Valley is now a destination for tourists and residents alike. We long have harbored concerns about the proliferation of gambling in this state, but we acknowledge its immense appeal and the huge role it plays in tourism and, yes, creation of new jobs. To that point, the Potawatomi casino has been an asset to Milwaukee and certainly to the developing valley with its array of restaurants and impressive 600-seat cabaret dinner theater that regularly hosts big-name entertainment. The new 500,000 square-foot addition continues that tradition with two new restaurants, a food court and an eye-catching glitzy center bar lounge." Get the Story:
