Labor union protests Pequot casino opening
The United Auto Workers union held a protest on Saturday and Sunday as the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation of Connecticut opened its newest gaming facility. The UAW represents about 2,700 card dealers at the Foxwoods Resort Casino. Organizers are protesting the tribe for shutting card dealers at the new MGM Grand at Foxwoods out of the union. As a result, dealers at the MGM facility won't have to share tips with unionized dealers. The UAW says Foxwoods dealers will lose a big chunk of their income. Get the Story:
