The United Auto Workers union went to court on Thursday to force the state of Connecticut to allow a protest at the casino owned by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation.
The union wants a permit to shut down one lane of traffic on a state road that leads to the Foxwoods Resort Casino. The Department of Transportation has yet to make a decision on the matter.
The protest would take place as the tribe opens its new MGM Grand at Foxwoods facility.
The union wants to represent card dealers at the MGM Grand.
