Seminole Tribe heads to Connecticut to recruit

The Seminole Tribe -- of Florida is in Connecticut this week as part of its goal to hire 3,650 card dealers.

With promises of sunshine and fun in Florida, the tribe hopes to lure dealers away from the two tribal casinos in Connecticut. The pitch is apparently working -- most of the people interviewing at the Seminole's job fair came from Foxwoods Resort Casino or Mohegan Sun Casino, according to The Hartford Courant.

But not everyone came from the neighborhood. David Witte, a riverboat casino dealer from Indiana, drove 14 hours to the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford for a shot at a job with the Seminoles.
