Voters of the Meskwaki Tribe of Iowa approved the sale of liquor at the Meskwaki Bingo Casino Hotel on Tuesday.
Tribal members approved the liquor referendum by a 229 to 122 vote. That's a reversal of a vote taken last April when voters rejected the idea.
Tribal leaders say liquor sales will increase revenue at the casino. It's the only one in the state that doesn't sell alcohol.
