The Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma has completed the first phase of a $155 million casino expansion.
The tribe added 30,000 square-feet to the gaming floor to the Cherokee Casino Resort in Catoosa.
An 80-foot-long ice bar and a non-smoking area are also part of the project.
Eventually, the tribe will add a 19-story hotel, a 2,500-seat theater and event center, 30,000 square feet of convention space and a Toby Keith's I Love This Bar & Grill. The project will be complete in mid-2009.
The casino will also be branded with the Hard Rock name.
