The Florida Legislature will convene a select committee to negotiate a new Class III gaming compact with the Seminole Tribe , The Palm Beach Post reports.
House Speaker Ray Sansom (R) will reportedly announce the committee today. He was one of the leaders in a lawsuit that invalidated the tribe's compact at the Florida Supreme
Court.
The tribe has continued to offer slot machines and table games at its casinos. The Bureau of Indian Affairs approved the tribe's existing compact.
