Seminole Tribe still waiting to discuss compact

The Seminole Tribe has been unable to meet with Florida lawmakers about its Class III gaming compact due to scheduling conflicts, The Tampa Bay Tribune reports.

The tribe thought it would talk with key lawmakers after the Thanksgiving break but no meetings have taken place so far. A tribal attorney said discussion could occur in the next week.

The compact was invalidated by the Florida Supreme Court in July but the tribe has continued to offer Class III games. The compact was approved by the Bureau of Indian Affairs.
