The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation of Connecticut named Michael F. Speller as head of the Mashantucket Pequot Gaming Enterprise..
Speller is a former executive at Foxwoods Resort Casino. He most recently worked for the Seneca Nation of New York.
Speller replaces Patricia Irvin, who was fired after the tribe announced layoffs of 700 employees. The tribe has seen gaming revenues drop over the past few months.
