The Seneca Nation of New York has removed its top gaming attorney.
Barry Brandon, a member of the Muscogee Nation of Oklahoma, was general counsel for the Seneca Gaming Corporation. He was ousted from his $700,000 job in a long-running dispute with tribal president Barry E. Snyder Sr., The Buffalo News reported.
“The corporation previously informed Barry Brandon, senior vice president and general counsel of the corporation, that it was unlikely the corporation would renew his employment agreement with the corporation,” the corporation said in a Securities and Exchange Commission filing last week. “Mr. Brandon has determined to pursue other career opportunities.”
Brandon was former chief of staff at the National Indian Gaming Commission..
