Job creation, the economy and land-into-trust were hot topics at a panel that discussed gaming in Massachusetts.
The Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe is seeking to build a major resort in the town of Middleboro. The project promises up to 4,000 jobs, through casino opponents questioned the figure.
The tribe is going through the land-into-trust process. If successful, the tribe still would have to negotiate a compact for Class III gaming.
