Nooksack Tribe marks one-year casino anniversary

The Nooksack Tribe of Washington says business is better than expected at its new casino. The Nooksack Northwood Casino opened a year ago amid litigation and warnings of crime. But the county sheriff said he has only been called to the site eight times in the last year. About 80 percent of customers come from Canada, the casino's assistant marketing manager said.
