Opponents of the Seneca Nation continued their fight against the tribe's off-reservation casino in downtown Buffalo, New York.
Citizens against Casino Gambling in Erie County wants a federal judge to shut down the Buffalo Creek Casino and hold the National Indian Gaming Commission in contempt of court for failing to act on the facility.
Judge William M. Skretny previously ruled the casino site does not quality for gaming.
The Department of Justice and the tribe filed briefs in response to the motion. The tribe has continued to engage in gaming at the site despite the prior court ruling.
