The Native American Student Club at the University of New Mexico-Gallup will host a forum on gaming on Wednesday.
Club president Rhianan M. Curley said the forum was timed to coincide with the planned opening of the first Navajo Nation gaming facility. The $22 million Fire Rock Casino is due to open this month just a few miles east of Gallup.
“We’re not for it, we’re not against it,” Curley told The Gallup Independent.
Tribal representatives will attend.
