The San Pasqual Band of Mission Indians broke ground on a hotel at the Valley View Casino on Monday.
The 161-room hotel is expected to open in early 2010. It includes a spa, fitness center, pool, restaurant and bar.
The tribe recently completed a $114 million expansion of the casino.
