The Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community
The tribe began construction on the new Casino Arizona in January. The project is expected to take about two years to complete.
"The people of this community have worked a long time for this," said Salt River President Diane Enos, The Arizona Republic reported.
The casino includes a 15-story hotel, a 240,000-square-foot gaming floor, 50,000 square feet of indoor meeting space, a 13,000-square-foot spa, eight restaurants, 10 lounges and a 750-seat showroom. The Talking Stick Golf Course is next door.
