Gaming employees of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation of Connecticut find out next week if they are among the 700 people who will be losing their jobs.
Citing declining revenues and the downturn in the national economy, the tribe is cutting about 6 percent of the workforce at Foxwoods Resort Casino and
the new MGM Grand at
Foxwoods. Layoffs will be made across the board, the tribe has said.
The tribe is offering a voluntary buyout program.
