Ousted Redding Rancheria family protests work
Thursday, October 9, 2008
A family whose members were disenrolled from the Redding Rancheria of California protested work the tribe is doing to expand its casino. The Foremans, who were removed from the tribe in 2004, attempted to block construction of a road to the Win-River Casino adjacent to land owned by one of the family members. The protest ended after the county sheriff warned they could be arrested. The roadwork is part of a casino expansion that is expected to be completed by spring 2010. Get the Story:
