Quechan Nation seeks new financing for casino

The Quechan Nation is looking for new financing to continue a $214 million casino expansion project, President Mike Jackson said. The tribe needs $25 million to finish work at the Quechan Casino Resort. The project is 60 percent completed but a credit downgrade by Fitch Ratings has the tribe looking at options. “We're in the middle of all these negative economic times, but we'll survive. We'll get through it,” Jackson told The San Diego Union-Tribune. The tribe hopes to open the expanded facility in spring 2009. Get the Story:
