Employees at the casino owned by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation of Connecticut were on edge after learning that 700 of them will be laid off.
As of right now, no one knows who will be losing their jobs. But they will find out by October 17.
"These 17 days, we can't sleep," a slot machine attendant told The New London Day.
The layoffs affect the Foxwoods Resort Casino and MGM Grand at Foxwoods, which opened in May. The tribe cited a decline in gaming revenues and the downturn in the national economy in making the cuts.
