The California Gambling Control Commission is looking into a virtual casino being offered by the Pauma Band of Mission Indians.
The tribe launched the games on the Casino Pauma website last month. Players can try their luck on slot machines, table games and card games.
No money exchanges hands so the games are legal, according to the tribe and an expert in gambling law. But the state is trying to determine whether the virtual casino violates the tribal-state compact.
