The Barona Band of Mission Indians donated a 4,000-gallon tanker of gas to Meals on Wheels as part of a promotion at the Barona Valley Ranch Resort & Casino.
The donation enables Meals on Wheels to deliver food to seniors throughout San Diego County.
"In native cultures, seniors are always important," Vice Chair Charles "Beaver" Curo, NBC reported.
The casino will give away more than $800,000 worth of gas during the month of September.
