The Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians might open a Class II facility on its reservation in North Carolina.
The tribe is studying potential sites for the casino. A decision could come by the end of the year, Chief Michell Hicks said.
The tribe operates the Harrah's Cherokee Casino, a successful Class III facility.
