County wants new casino deal with Cowlitz Tribe

Officials in Clark County, Washington, want to negotiate a new casino agreement with the Cowlitz Tribe.

The county previously signed a memorandum of understanding with the tribe. But the 2004 deal has been challenged in the courts.

The tribe, however, doesn't think a new agreement is needed. The tribe passed an ordinance to abide by provisions of the MOU, including payments to the county.
