Police shoot man outside Agua Caliente casino

A suspect under multi-jurisdictional investigation was shot and killed by police outside the casino owned by the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians of California.

Authorities attempted to arrest Nino Joseph Garcia, 24, as he was leaving the Spa Resort Casino in Palm Springs. He reportedly tried to flee and aimed a weapon at officers before he was shot.

A stray bullet went through a window at the casino, shattering it and causing a minor injury to a casino employee. The tribe said the employee was doing well.

Garcia was wanted on a felony warrant. He has prior drug and weapons convictions.
