The Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut will open the $925 million expansion of its casino on August 29.
The Casino of the Wind project adds 1.4 million square-feet to the Mohegan Sun Casino. Poker will be returning to the facility with a special poker room.
The tribe planned for 825 more slot machines but scaled back to 650 machines amid a downturn in gaming revenues in Connecticut. The price tag of the project also increased due to a rise in construction costs.
