The Guidiville Band of Pomo Indians has found a new backer for its proposed casino in the Bay Area.
The tribe is seeking to build a casino at the former Point Molate Naval Base in Richmond. The Rumsey Band of Wintun Indians, which operates the successful Cache Creek Casino Resort is financing the project.
The tribe plans a 1,100-room hotel, theater, convention center, retail and housing at the site. The Rumsey Band will manage the casino.
