The National Labor Relations Board. has issued an unfair labor practice complaint against the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation of Connecticut.
The NLRB is pushing the tribe to the bargaining table. The United Auto Workers wants to negotiate an agreement on behalf of about 3,000 card dealers at the Foxwoods Resort Casino.
The NLRB already certified the union but the tribe doesn't accept the imposition of federal labor law on the reservation. The dispute will likely end up in federal court.
