The Tulalip Tribes of Washington open a $130 million hotel at the Tulalip Casino today.
The tribe hopes the 12-story will bring more visitors to the reservation. It's near the casino, the amphitheatre, the outlet mall and other tribal development.
"We think our resort will rank right up there with the best," Chairman Mel Sheldon told The Seattle Times.
The hotel hired 425 employees. About 30 percent of them are tribal members.
