The Forest County Potawatomi Tribe holds a grand opening today for the $240 million expansion of its casino in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
The tribe added 1,500 slot machines, 60 table games, a bigger poker room and off-track betting to the Potawatomi Bingo Casino. The facility now has an additional 500,000 square-feet of entertainment space, two new restaurants and a six-story parking structure.
The expansion was in limbo while the tribe waited for a lawsuit that challenged its Class III gaming compact. The state courts eventually ruled the state governor had the authority to sign the deal.
