The Navajo Nation began construction of its first casino on Monday.
More than 100 people attended the groundbreaking ceremony in Churchrock, New Mexico. The gaming site is off a major interstate near Gallup.
The 27,000-square-foot will feature 300 slot machines, table games, entertainment and a small cafe. The tribe expects to open in October.
