Non-Indian cardrooms want the Bureau of Indian Affairs to conduct a new environmental impact statement for the casino sought by the Cowlitz Tribe of Washington.
The BIA issued a final EIS for the casino last month. The four non-Indian cardrooms say the BIA failed to consider local government opposition to the casino and other land issues.
The cardrooms fear they will lose business once the tribe's casino opens. The tribe is planning a $510 million casino not far from the cardrooms.
