Mohegan Tribe in running for New York City casino

The Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut is still in the running to operate a casino in New York City, The Hartford Courant reports. The Mohegan Sun Tribal Gaming Authority and its partners were chosen as one of three finalists for the Aqueduct Racetrack project in Queens. The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation's proposal did not advance. The Mohegan partnership plans to install 4,500 slot machines and operate a hotel and other amenities.
