The Chickasaw Nation of Oklahoma named an interim commissioner for its gaming operation.
Matthew L. Morgan is a tribal member. He has worked as in-house legal counsel and policy adviser to the tribe and sits on the executive committee of the board of directors of the National Indian Gaming Association.
Morgan temporarily replaces Tracy Burris, who recently left his post as gaming commissioner for the tribe.
Gaming revenues exceeded $414 million in fiscal year 2007, the tribe said in a press release.
