Mashantucket Tribe debuts MGM branded casino

Celebrities and gamblers turned out by the droves for the grand opening of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation's newest casino. The tribe teamed up with Vegas giant MGM Grand to open the new MGM Grand at Foxwoods. The $700 million facility features a 50,000-square-foot gaming floor, 115,000 square feet of meeting and convention space, a 825-room hotel and a 4000-seat theater, along with several restaurants and retail options. The MGM casino employs about 1,700 people. That's in addition to the 12,000 who work at the Foxwoods Resort Casino, the tribe's original facility. Get the Story:
