Members of the Meskwaki Tribe of Iowa are worried they are going to see a cut in their casino per capita payments.
Each member receives about $2,000 a month, KCRG-TV reported. Tribal members fear the payment will be cut in half.
"I'm pretty upset because if they wanted to do this, they should have told us at least a year before so we can plan our bills as well,” Stella Young Bear told the station.
The tribal council has discussed the issue but no decisions have been made. A recent meeting was canceled because not enough council members showed up.
