The Twenty-Nine Palms Band of Mission Indians hosted a public meeting last week on its proposed casino.
The tribe plans a casino with 350 slot machines and some table games. The project includes a an RV park, hotel, restaurants and a bowling alley.
The tribe is taking public comments on the Nuwu Casino Resort & RV Park until April 28. The facility is expected to open in April 2009.
