Oklahoma county to discuss Ponca casino roads

Officials in Cowley County, Oklahoma, are meeting today to discuss a proposal by the Ponca Tribe to improve roads around a proposed casino. The tribe plans the $60 million Ponca Fancy Dance Casino on the former Chilocco Indian School property. The tribe has said it will spend $3 million to upgrade rural roads in the county. Officials are interested in the partnership. It's not clear when a decision on the project might be made. The Tonkawa Tribe and the Otoe Missouria Tribe also operate casinos on the former school property. Get the Story:
