Most people who attended three hearings held by Clark County, Washington, oppose the casino sought by the Cowlitz Tribe, according to the county's board chairman.
Chair Betty Sue Morris, however, said the county will likely negotiate a new agreement with the tribe.
An earlier agreement was thrown out by the state courts due to lack of public input.
The tribe wants to build a $510 million casino in an unincorporated part of the county. The tribe has included the old agreement in its tribal gaming ordinance that was approved by the National Indian Gaming Commission.
