The Poarch Band of Creek Indians of Alabama held a topping out ceremony for the $250 million Wind Creek Casino and Hotel.
The casino portion of the project is scheduled to open this December. It features 1,600 electronic bingo games, an 8,000 square-foot conference/ball room, and an indoor/outdoor entertainment area.
The hotel portion is expected to open in the spring of 2009. The 17-story hotel features 260 rooms that will bring the entire casino to 391,061 square-feet.
