The Navajo Nation is holding a signing ceremony today for its first casino.
President Joe Shirley Jr. will be in Church
Rock, New Mexico, to sign $35 million loan papers for the project. The tribe utilized one of its trust funds to finance the casino.
The Killian Group of Cos. and
Kennedy Wendel, an Indian owned firm, are building the casino. It is set to open in mid-October.
