The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers is seeking to organize at the casino owned by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation of Connecticut.
The union wants to represent electrical workers at the Foxwoods Resort Casino.. One union has already organized card dealers and another is moving to organize among engineering workers.
The tribe contends federal labor law doesn't apply at the casino. The National Labor Relations Board says it has jurisdiction due to a case involving a California tribe and its casino.
