The Tunica-Biloxi Tribe of Louisiana is helping investigate the abduction and subsequent death of a woman who was visiting the Paragon Casino Resort.
Janaver Distefano, 65, was last seen at the casino on Saturday morning. Authorities later found her body in an abandoned car on Monday morning.
Donald Ray Johnson, 23, was arrested in connection with Distefano's abduction and murder.
Tribal police have turned over evidence and are assisting with the search of a weapon believed to have been used in connection with the incident.
