Three California tribes whose gaming compacts were approved by state voters have added thousands of slot machines to their casinos.
The Morongo Band of Mission Indians has added more than 900 machines at two casinos.
The tribe is looking to add 500 more in the coming months.
The Pechanga Band of Luiseno Indians has added 1,300 slot machines. Another 500 Class II machines are being converted to slot machines.
The Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians is adding 1,900 machines to one casino in the coming weeks.
Another tribe, the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians, has added 1,500 machines. Its compact was not before voters.
