The Meskwaki Tribe of Iowa has delayed a referendum to authorize liquor sales at the Meskwaki Bingo Casino Hotel.
The vote was to take place today. But due to the death of a tribal member, it was moved to April 1.
Tribal leaders say sales will increase revenue at the casino. But tribal members voted against the idea last year, citing health and safety concerns.
