Officials in San Diego County, California, are raising concerns about the hotel being proposed by the San Pasqual Band of Mission Indians.
The county says the $85 million hotel next to the Valley View Casino will have significant impacts on the community. Officials say the tribe's draft environmental evaluation report downplays the effect on health, the environment and public safety.
The tribe plans to meet with county officials today to discuss the issue.
