The Nottawaseppi Huron Band of Potawatomi
Indians says it will hire local people to build its casino near Battle Creek, Michigan.
The Firekeepers Casino seeks to hire 700 people for the construction. Clark Construction Co. hopes to break ground this spring. Work will last about 15 months.
The 230,000-square-foot facility will be located on 78 acres that were taken into trust for the tribe after a lengthy court battle.
