The Nebraska Commission on Indian Affairs has passed a resolution in support of the Ponca Tribe's gaming rights.
The tribe wants to build a casino in Carter Lake, Iowa. The land qualifies for gaming, according to the National Indian Gaming Commission.
The state of Nebraska is suing the NIGC to block a casino. The state says the tribe "lied" when it said it wouldn't use the land for gaming.
The state of Iowa is also considering a lawsuit.
