Good Morning America to air casino suit segment
The ABC show "Good Morning America" will air a segment about a lawsuit against a New Mexico tribe, The Albuquerque Journal reports. Gary Hoffman, a non-Indian, is suing Sandia Pueblo over a "jackpot" of nearly $1.6 million. He said he won the money on a slot machine but the tribe said the machine malfunctioned. Hoffman was offered $2,500 -- the maximum payout on the machine -- but he decided to go to the state court system. The tribe is seeking to have the case dismissed, citing sovereign immunity. The GMA segment was taped last week in Albuquerque. It will air sometime this week. Get the Story:
