Passamaquoddy racino on November ballot

Voters in Maine are being asked to approve a racino for the Passamaquoddy Tribe.

The issue is on the November ballot. A poll Pan Atlantic SMS Group found that 41.8 percent supported it while 41.5 percent opposed it.

The tribe hopes to build a racetrack with 1,500 slot machines in Washington County. Voters previously approved non-Indian racinos in 2003 but rejected full tribal gaming.
